I attended Mercer University  
Mercer University is a Southern Baptist sponsored college in Macon, where I took some theology classes. Afterward, I made my own peace with God and the Bible's teachings. My wife and I decided that our course was to place our trust in The New Testament and the God of Love who offered us salvation. Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm a God-fearing person first. The Old Testament made it clear that God is to be feared, as He is omnipotent and is not bound by our ideas of how He should act. Jehovah in the Old Testament is a demanding God, and the retribution for defying Him was whatever He chose to inflict. I'm sure in my mind that He has not changed, but now, in Christ, we have an intercessor for us with Him. Christ persuaded Jehovah to give us a chance at redemption through our belief in Jesus as our personal Savior.
